We are pleased to welcome Tanya Johnson, our new director of parent relations, to Pomona College. Tanya is a dedicated parent professional who brings more than 15 years of experience in management and program development. She understands the importance of creating a philanthropic culture in partnership with colleagues from across a wide variety of academic departments and units.
Tanya came to us from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she served as interim senior director of annual giving and director of parent giving. Previously, she served as director of education at Syracuse University’s Community Folk Art Center and as director of parent programs at Pitzer College. A native Californian who received her bachelor’s degree from Pitzer, Tanya is excited to be home!
Tanya’s experience, energy and collaborative spirit will be extremely valuable as we look to further develop our parent relations program. We have some excellent programs in place, but there is always room for new ideas, growth and creativity.
